What happens if a library item I returned is declared damaged?

Once an item(s) is declared damaged by the home institution, the library may take any of the following actions to facilitate the return of said materials:

  • Place a block preventing any further checking out of Lemieux Library, Interlibrary Loan, and Summit items.
  • Restrict or block the ability to place holds or request local Lemieux Library, Interlibrary Loan, and Summit Items.
  • Place a hold or block preventing or limiting the ability to register for classes, obtaining a transcript, and/or receiving a diploma.

Any or all restrictions, blocks, or holds will be lifted once an arrangement for paying a replacement fee(s) has been established. A fee payment appointment can be scheduled at the following link: Lemieux Library | McGoldrick Learning Commons | Seattle University.
